We (The West Side Cheetahs) are entering our 2nd year, and will be competing in the 1st Division of PVJSL for girls U-10. We are improving each season against the best competition in Pioneer Valley, but are also continuing to work on fundamentals such as positioning, skills, teamwork, and of course having FUN. Our signature characteristics include very high enthusiasm and effort levels in every game.
FALL 2009 SEASON SUMMARY
With guidance from coaches Brian Candon and Tom Zuffelato, achieved a strong effort within the Fall league in the 7 v 7 format played in PVJSL at the U10 age bracket. The Cheetahs played 12 Fall regular season games that finished on October 18th. Highlights included strong offensive games against Northampton and East Longmeadow Raptors, and very good efforts against the top tier competition in the league: Ludlow, Agawam and EL Spartans. The Cheetahs often carried 50% or more of the play against those teams, showing that they can compete well in the division. Also, the for-fun jamboree tournament capped the season on October 25th. In that tournament, the Cheetahs played very well against teams from Belchertown, Westfield, and Southwick.
Thank you to Coaches Brian and Tom, whom both did a great job leading the team this Fall. The Cheetahs are a team that definitely gives it their all every game!
