U11 Boys - Warriors

2009 Fall Warriors Season Highlights

The Warriors finished the regular season at 8-3 and advanced to the playoffs in their very FIRST year playing on a larger field and in the 11 v 11 format.  A potent offense lead by Chris Bowers, Joe Paier and Zach Butler racked up 29 goals during the season.  A solid midfield anchored by Mike “the Terminator” Garvey, Daiyaan Sabir and Anthony Frosch improved throughout the year and give us great hope for the future.  Lastly, our stalwart defense consisting of Peter DiStefano, Louis Martin, Jared Davis and Troy “the wall” Chaput helped support our keeper, Nick Albano.  Last but not least, veterans Alex Bolivar, Mike Biskupic and Nick Severino contributed to our ever improving offense as did newcomers Patrick Kelly and Omar “the shoelace” Shehzad.

While the Warriors lost in the semifinals to the eventual league champions, coach Bill Martin and myself were very pleased with the progress that the boys made over the course of the season.  Each of the boys ended the season playing better than they did at the beginning and we hope that they all return in the spring to pick up where we left off.

Coach Bill and myself would like to thank all the parents, grandparents, relatives and friends for their commitment and support throughout the season.  Also, particular thanks goes out to special coach and advisor Pat Butler for his patience and guidance during the season.
