United Boys Handle Tough Competition Games 5/8-5/9
In recent competition, the United Boys overcame tough defense against two solid teams: Agawam and Ludlow.
In the first game versus Agawam, the offense was lead by Quinn Serafino, Nicky Centracchio and James Gagnon. Each had multiple shots on goal with James connecting to give United the lead. Agawam struck back and tied up the score despite Ian Alves’ strong play as goal tender. The second half featured Anthony Penna in goal who held Agawam to their lone goal by making great saves. Ryan Stenwick and Paul Malinoski just fell short on what would have been a spectacular goal and Nicky came through to give United the lead. United never looked back due to the tough defense of the whole team.
The second game against Ludlow was a time to avenge a previous loss. Nathan Roy, with his aggressive play, scored the first goal of the game. Quinn Serafino followed with three goals. In the end, Ludlow was no match against the teams’ offense or the goal tending of Ian Alves and Anthony Penna. The whole United team completely dominated the game from start to finish leaving Ludlow stunned.
